Never Forget Tribute

8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017

During the month of September, Northridge Woodhaven Community Outreach will exhibit a 3,000 American flag display in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001. Each flag in our Never Forget Tribute is placed in honor of a victim, emergency responder or military member who lost their life on that tragic day.

The Healing Path Workshop Series at Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center focuses on practical "next steps" in the healing journey. Each workshop will have a different speaker and a different topic of interest. This unique series is a free community outreach program open to anyone affected by the loss of a loved one.

All contest entries must be presented in a personal essay format with 500 to 525 words on the true meaning of Memorial Day. Six winners of this contest will share cash prizes totaling $1,600!

Light of Hope Community Candlelight Remembrance

Dec. 11, 2015

Northridge Woodhaven Community Outreach will host the Light of Hope Community Candlelight Remembrance on Friday, Dec. 11 at 6 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home. This free community event is an opportunity for Mid-South residents to come together and honor their loved ones in a special way. Lighting candles for loved ones is interactive, impactful and visually beautiful, leaving everyone fulfilled. Joseph Brasher, Minister of Education at First Baptist Church-Millington, will be the guest speaker for this unique event, which will feature live music and refreshments. The Light of Hope Community Candlelight Remembrance is designed to promote comfort, hope and healing. Register your attendance by November 30.


Community Coat Drive

Sept. 1 - Nov. 1, 2015

Make a difference in the lives of Millington area children and adults by donating clean, gently-used coats and jackets in Northridge Woodhaven's Community Coat Drive. Donations accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in our funeral home. To show our appreciation, all who donate in our Community Coat Drive will be entered for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card. The gift card drawing will take place on Nov. 2, 2015.


Grief WORKshop

10 a.m. Oct. 15, 2015

Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Crossroads Hospice have partnered together to offer the Millington community a safe, confidential place for people to share their grief journey experience with others who have lost loved ones. The goal is to learn positive coping strategies for moving forward and to encourage sharing so we may listen and learn from each other.
